GITSTRIDE APP

Do I need to move my projects?

No. GitStride works directly with your existing GitHub Issues and Projects, so there is no second backlog to maintain.

Why can’t I see a private or organization Project?

Check the connected account, GitHub access, organization SSO, and application restrictions. Reauthorize if Projects access is missing.

Do I need GitHub CLI?

No. The app supports OAuth device-code login. The GitHub Release build additionally supports an existing CLI login.

The workspace looks out of date. What should I check?

Check your connection and authentication, then refresh. Cached snapshots can be older than GitHub. If GitHub has changed but the app has not, include that distinction in a bug report.

PR AUTOMATION

Does automation run after I quit?

Configured PR automation runs on a separate service and can continue when the app is closed. Desktop project reminders require GitStride to be running.

Why didn’t a PR change my Project status?

Check the automation connection, installed repository scope, closing relationship, and compatible personal Project mapping. Wait for queued processing. With multiple closing PRs, all must be merged before Done.

I signed in again. Why does automation still need authorization?

Desktop login and automation use separate OAuth Apps. Reauthorize the automation connection in Settings; desktop login does not renew Worker access.

Does changing the service address stop the old automation?

No. It changes this Mac’s connection only. Pause or delete the old server’s connection first if you need it to stop.
